Now available: My new book
The feedback on my new book has been wonderful. I'm so thrilled. Here's a recent example.
Dear Yvonne,
Your book has arrived and I must congratulate you. It has all that is required:
- Good clear instructions, good illustrations and good layout.
- It stays open at the page you want when working, so easy to refer to, and good size print.
With best wishes - Hilary
What's it all about?
Yvonne Brown creates beautiful fabric art inspired by the arts and crafts of the medieval period. But how are her pieces made? And what techniques does she use to recreate not only her sources, but the effects that time has had on them?
Using Medieval tiles and stonework is the first in a series of books describing just how Yvonne produces the fabric art and embroideries that have made her well-known all over the world.
In this book you will discover:
- Where to find original medieval tiles and stonework
- How to capture tile and stonework designs – and make them your own
- Detailed, step-by-step instructions on creating your own fabric art pieces
- Where to find the tools and materials you need
Yvonne's techniques can be used in many other ways, too. Try them for yourself – and then let your own creative imagination take flight!
