This piece is based on a shoulder clasp found at Sutton Hoo in Suffolk. Silk with appliqué and 'celtic cut-work' - synthetic fabrics with free-machine embroidery and cut back with a soldering iron. Machine and hand quilted.

Hoo's Treasure II
The source for this piece of work is a corroded copper hanging bowl from the Sutton Hoo hoard. Decorated with an enamelled escutcheon which has provided the detail for the quilting on the hanging. Bonded tissue paper, expandaprint and paint, free-machine quilting.

Stone Story I
Based on the sculpture around the Prior's door at Ely Cathedral. This piece represents the sculpture in good condition in the arched sections, this is machine trapunto, and the central textured panel represents the sculpture in its present worn state.

Gothic Arch
Made for the 'In Response' exhibition at Ely Cathedral and inspired by the Gothic arches in the Lady Chapel. Hand-dyed fabric with superimposed photographs of the arches; the fragmented images have been used to create this watercolour effect quilted wall hanging. Sheer voile arches complete the design. The more you look the more you see!
